Bruins Continue to Struggle

After finally breaking their losing streak with a win over Carolina, the Bruins once again continued to struggle with a loss to the Florida Panthers. The Panthers' Vokoun was amazing in net turning away shot after shot from the Bruins to secure the shut out and the win for Florida 2-0.

Despite the high number of shots the Bruins were able to get off, 41 total, the feisty Panthers were able to connect on 2 of their 29. Patrice Bergeron, who broke his scoring slump last game with an empty netter, led the B's with 8 shots. Most disturbing for the Bruins was the continuation of the terrible power play. The Bruins were granted two 4 minute penalties and were unable to do much of anything with them.

Penalty Box: Loooooooonnnnnnnggg Road Trips
The Bruins are currently at the tail end of a 5 game road trip. They have not taken the ice at the garden since February 10th's game vs the sharks. Hope the Celtics are keepin the arena warm!

Boston's Bears will not have much time to dwell on their loss as they are back on the ice tomorrow with a game in Tampa. After the matinee, the Bruins will return to their home ice for a nice long home stand. Hopefully that will jump start the struggling Boston Boys...
