B's Stuff Sens in Shootout

The Bruins were able to pull out the win after an epic shootout. It was an unlikely hero, veteran PJ Axelsson with the goal in round 5 to give the Bruins the 2 points. Thomas produced save after spectacular save to turn away all 5 Ottawa shooters after keeping his net empty in an action-packed overtime.

The game started out well for the B's, who held a 2-0 lead in the 2nd with goals from Wheeler and Chara. Ottawa, however, would come storming back to hold a 3-2 lead in the third. A high sticking on Michael Ryder, which drew quite a bit of blood and therefore the extra two minutes gave the B's the opportunity they needed to tie the game back up with a goal from Chuck Kobasew. A nice finish to what was the epitome of an up and down game.

Penalty Box: A team penalty for 'falling asleep at the wheel'
Luckily the Bruins were able to wake up after the penalty on Ryder and pull out the win that a first place team should against a team at the bottom of the barrel.

The Bruins will be seeing some familiar faces on Saturday; familiar as they just saw the Philadelphia Flyers Wednesday. Puck drop slated for 1:00. Another lovely Saturday afternoon at the Garden in the making for sure!
